V-Day Braceles

February 15, 2012
Even though it's a little late for you all to be making these for V-day I will sill share what I have been making the last two days. It's heart bracelets made from little crochet hearts.

The original pattern for he hears came from the Little Birdie Secrets blog. I'll post the pattern here too though. It's very simple.

Supplies used:
Size D crochet hook
Size 3 crochet thread or embroidery floss
(Or use any size hook/yarn you have on hand--it will just change the size)

All stitches worked into the first chain.

Ch 4. Work 3 tr (triple crochet) into first ch, 3 dc, ch 1, 1 tr, ch 1, 3 dc, 3 tr. Ch 3, sl st into center and fasten off.

I used different yarn and hook size but that was the original pattern. I then simply sewed them together withe yarn tails in a loop and poof! You mad a bracele. You can also make it longer so you have a necklase or whatever you want.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

  • Magnetic Katamari crochet ball (free on-line pattern)
  • Princess Leia wig (free on-line pattern)
  • Zombie doll (I'm looking at a few patterns)
  • Or something else (please, do tell!)

T-shirt rugs in Thailand

January 16, 2012
What a fun time I've been having making rainbow rugs from t-shirt yarn (http://www.craftpassion.com/2009/05/recycle-tutorial-making-of-t-shirt-yarn.html) And not only that but I did it with my FINGER! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4b9p_jX2fo&feature=related)
All this has been getting the attention of basically all the Thai people I meet when doing this. Whether it's kids of adults they all come and watch me. It's interesting trying to translate though exactly what I'm doing but it's fun an...
